Mission

Arts are an extremely important element to growth, development, essential skills, and culture. There are many people who do not have equal or available access to theater and arts opportunities for medical, financial, and geographical reasons. Inspiration Performing Arts company's mission is to provide performing arts opportunities to underserved members of the community. With a goal to make theatre more accessible, IPAC continues to develop new programs to honor our mission and serve those that need theater most.

History

IPAC first started out as "Inspiration Performing Troupe." It was founded by Executive Director, Emily Garven in 2009 when she was thirteen years old. Garven grew the troupe over the years and expanded the performing opportunities to venues such as Fenway Park, TD Garden, Orlando, Florida, and the Bahamas. Over one hundred children have performed with Inspiration Performing Troupe. Community service and giving back has always been a requirement of the troupe; frequently singing at funerals, fundraising events, and volunteering for other organizations. In 2018, Garven started "Inspiration Jr." a performance troupe program for younger children, and produced IPAC's first musical "Heathers." In 2019, Inspiration launched the "Sharing the Spotlight" program to give children with special needs and other disabilities the opportunity to perform.  Since then, the organization has produced numerous musicals and special needs productions. The organization re-branded and became a non-profit in 2019 and celebrated its 10th Anniversary. IPAC has a dedicated mission to bring theater programs to underserved members of the community by continuing the Sharing the Spotlight program, partnering with organizations such as "Children's Wishes" to provide theater programs for children with medical illnesses, and expanding the programming to assist children from underprivileged families in their participation in the arts.
